UPDATE
December 2023
A busy year in my studio, and much more to come as I'll be updating my website to include a total of nine new bronze sculptures in the next few months as they arrive from the foundry. Also new will be supporting drawings, but before that I'll make time to take new photographs which will hopefully do them justice. All this activity should finally culminate in a show in 2024- watch this space for a progress report!

The start of my studio year has seen me flitting from painting, to beginning work
on sculpting a new clay portrait then onto creating
the silver bowl for my next bronze sculpture of Moments which I'm expecting to collect shortly from the foundry-
Variety usually being the spice of my life for sure :)

NOVEMBER 2022
This months' studio time has been all about the painting, in as much as over the past few weeks I've produced a couple of new oils to further explore my 'States of Being' project; stylistically they differ as 'Wisdom (ii)' is an exploratory study of the pose before alighting on the less collapsed pose that I made a sculpture of and had produced as a bronze.

Happily I've collected my new bronzes of Wisdom and Essence, taking them to beautiful Cornwall last week to photograph, doesn't everyone take there artwork to the beach?!
...I have to admit there were a few curious looks, but the light is so beautiful.

As I type I'm excited to say that I have my first couple of bronzes in production with my local foundry - Art of a Fine Nature. A couple of weeks ago I spent a delightful few hours tending to the detail of my sculptures at the wax stage of the process in their Shepton Mallet studio where they made me very welcome :)
