STATES OF BEING

This is my most recent body of work and stems from my deep interest in the human form as well as narrative. In these sculptures I'm exploring emotion and what it is to be human, the things that go towards  making us who we are.  I decided to expand my choice of medium as I'd made an active decision to refresh my practice, and as a result worked with these new ideas as maquettes in plasticine using a different scale.

Unfamiliar mediums necessarily require different handling, and I think my interest in  human anatomy

added to the enquiry of this multi layered  theme that I'm following and researching.

Feeling that my exploration was successful I'm now commissioning bronzes.
